  • Year 4 Roman Day- 9th February

    To end their History unit, Year 4 today had their Roman Day. They all came into school dressed at Romans and we were fortunate to have Upton Country Park come in to lead some hands-on sessions with the children throuhgout the day. What a super way to end their learning jounrey!

  • Fencing Taster Session- 13th December

    Today, we welcomed the Dorset Musketeers into school to give the children a taster session of fencing. They learnt the different pieces of equipment needed, some of the terminology and how to score a point. The children loved having a go- thank you to the Dorset Muskeeters for coming in to inspire the children.

  • Christmas Jumper Day- 8th December

  • Nativity Performance- 6th/7th December

    Over the last couple of days, we have performed our Christmas nativity 'It's a Miracle' at the Church. The children did a phenomenal job of learning their songs and dances- what super performances!

  • Singing for the Monday Club- 4th December

    This afternoon, member of the Monday club from the Church came to visit our school. The listened to each of the classes sing their nativity songs and then were served cakes by some of the older children.

  • Friends Christmas Panto- 30th November

    This morning, we had 'Chaplain's Entertainment' in school to perform their Pantomime 'Treasure Island'. The children had an awesome time and loved joining in with the different parts!

  • iRock Assemblies- 24th November

    This morning, the whole school had a series of fabulous assemblies delivered by iRock. Whitney and Hannah sang lots of popular songs that we could join in with, helped us find the beat in different tunes, played different musical instruments and even had children come up to form their own band!

  • Foundation Dentist Visit- 23rd November

    Today, Foundation were lucky to have members of Corfe Mullen Dental Surgery come into school to help them learn about teeth! They spoke with the children about the importance of keeping their teeth healthy and how they can do this by brushing them carefully. They spoke about their job as a dentist and showed the children some of the instruments they use. The children had lots of excellent questions to ask as well!

  • Year 1 Parent Share- 22nd November

    This afternoon, Year 1 had their parent share. The children performed their crayon text map and sang 'You've got a friend in me'. The children then had an opportunity to share their books and also have a go at planning their Van Gogh inspired artwork.

  • Foundation Church Visit- 21st November

    Foundation had a visit from Evie from St Nicolas' Church to talk about celebrations at the Church. The children spoke about Christmas celebrations and how they celebrate this time of year at the Church. Evie brought all of the things with her to make a Christingle and discussed what each part of this represents.

  • Year 2 Parent Share- 20th November

    This afternoon, Year 2 had their first parent share of the year. They performed parts of their learning so far this year, including 'The Great Fire of London', and then had time to share their books with their grown ups.

  • Children in Need- 17th November

    Today at Henbury we celebrated 'Children in Need'. The school fundraisers asked the children to come into school wearing either yellow or spots and make a donation to the charity. Thank you for all of your generous donations!
