At the end of Year 2 pupils at Henbury access national tasks that combined with teacher assessment exemplifies the progress that each child has made. We begin to broaden the range of learning and teaching styles with a focus on problem based learning and Plan, Do, Review. These opportunities allow our learners develop independence beyond the functional.
Children continue to access Home learning linked topics, in addition they begin to have more focussed activities linked to literacy and numeracy, and these are targeted at the next steps in each child’s development.
They will also bring home mental maths cards and spelling activities linked to individual progress.
